Biography
Tato kalifornská kapela vznikla na začátku 80. let s těmito členy: Anthony Keids, Flea,
Hillel Slovak (kytara) a Jack Irons (bubny). Roku 1988 však Slovak umírá a Irons odchází.
Jsou nahrazeni Frusciantim a Smithem.Roku 1991 nahrávají jejich nejznámější album Blood
Sugar Sex Magik prodané v 2000000 kusech. Roku 1992 dochází k výměně Fruscianteho za Arika
Marshalla, který je r. 1993 vystřídán Jessem Tobiasem, kterého po pár měsících střídá
Dave Navarro. V této sestavě natáčejí One Hot Minute. Po roce se rozpadají, aby se mohli
vrátit v sestavě Blood Sugar Sex Magik a natočit Californication.
